One of the oldest and most beautiful cities for running in North America. A treat for running — historic routes along the Plains of Abraham, around the Old City, and wonderful waterfront paths along the St. Lawrence and St. Charles Rivers.

For the entire Quebec City running guide, visit Great Runs.

The Routes

Plains of Abraham. One of Canada’s most important historical parks is also a great running spot.
Quebec RunSeeing Tour. A 5 mile ‘runseeing tour’ of Quebec City.
St. Charles River Paths. A wonderful bike and pedestrian path, with great water views along most of the way.
St. Lawrence River Path. A bicycle/pedestrian path along the St. Lawrence River, paralleling Boulevard Champlain, for nearly 10km.
Promenade Samuel-De Champlain. Wonderful park and bike path, inaugurated in 2008, runs 4km.
Quebec City Residential. Pleasant residential streets north of Grande Allée and south of Ch. St-Foy.
Mont Sainte-Anne. 30 minutes from Quebec City, this is a great trail running destination in summer
