Shreveport is the third largest city in Louisiana, located on the banks of the Red River in the northwest corner of the state. The city, which sits on the homeland of the Caddo Nation, came up as a center for the oil industry. It has remained an important industrial hub for its strategic access to Louisiana, Arkansas, and Texas. After significant investment in infrastructure, there is great running in Shreveport, including riverfront paths, parks, and pleasant streets.
