Great Value Smash Tournament and Stream Schedule Changes
Here is the GVS Tournament Calendar for the year!
The biggest change starting in 2018 is streaming doubles once a month instead of every normal week. This gives newer players a chance to be on stream at least in round 1. We’ve gotten tons of requests to be on stream, but to keep the event running smoothly, we would often have to turn down those requests because doubles would still be running on stream.
Nemesis will be featured on stream during “Side Game Stream” weeks starting Jan. 21st. The game with the biggest attendance that night will be featured on stream.
Changes
NEW GAMES: Tekken 7, Dragonball Fighterz
Nemesis will now consist of Street Fighter V, Marvel vs Capcom Infinite, Injustice 2, & Tekken 7. SFV and TK7 will be $5 entry, and other games will be $1.
Moved Aeon from a bi-weekly to a monthly, starting on Jan. 21st.
Dragonball Fighterz (cool tournament name coming soon!) will be a bi-weekly on Sundays , starting on Feb. 4th. Sometimes, these happen to line up with Aeon.
Stream Schedule
We will stream Main Game Doubles (Melee, PM, Smash 4) once a month, starting Jan 14th.
Side Game Events (Street Fighter, Tekken, Marvel vs Capcom, Injustice, Smash 64, occasionally Aeon) will also happen once a month, starting on Jan 21st. Note: When Smash 64 is being streamed, this tournament will start at 7:30 PM.
Finally, we will stream Losers Side of bracket for main games once every other month, starting Feb 25th.
