5 Timeless Leadership Lessons that Will Matter in 2020
Will one of these be your New Year’s resolution?
I don’t always make New Year’s resolutions.
Some years it turns out I decide I ought to pursue a new practice or habit, and the timing turns out to be late in the year, so it feels appropriate to hit the “re-start” button on January 1.
(Though, as a general practice, I find it useful to hit “re-start” throughout the year, whenever I need a new challenge to spur my growth).
However, 2020 feels especially momentous to me. Not only the start of a new year and a new decade, but a new phase of life for me (I turn 40 this coming May — reaching official “middle age”).
And in my conversations recently, I sense a common drive from people to step up and really make something of new opportunities in 2020.
So, the timeliness of our current days has gotten me thinking about timelessness and what we can learn from the past in order to improve the future.
In particular, I’ve been thinking about the challenges of leadership, especially for entrepreneurs and others with a grand mission for the 2020’s.
