February 27: Celebration of Saints Asclepius and Procopius

Saint Asclepius who is referred to as a disciple of Saint Polychronius, imitated Holy Zebinas whοm he served, in exercise, abstinence, and prayer.
Procopius followed monasticism from an early age. He was an educated and brave man, an ardent defender of the Orthodoxy. He fought against the iconoclasts and the heretical Monophysites. He was jailed during the reign of Emperor Leo the Isaurian (717–741 AD) and not being able to recover from all the hardships he had suffered he died.
