November 21 The Entry of our Most Holy Theotokos into the Temple

One of the biggest celebrations of Christianity, the “Entry” of the Most Holy Mother of God, the Theotokos, into the Temple, marks the beginning of the later life of the child who as a woman was meant to bring to life the Son of God. The Virgin Mary was born of the elder Anna and Joachim at an age that neither of them could have children. With the intervention of God, Mary came to life and was raised with love and care until the age of three. When she reached the age of three her parents brought her to the Temple that would become her home and would embrace, bless, and lead her to the path of God and to the coming of her Son, Jesus Christ.
