In the article “It’s not climate change-it’s everything change” written by Margaret Atwood. He does a great job in describing the cause and effect of the oil shortage. He’s taking oil’s example to come up with his conclusion and point. which expresses his concern about resources.

In his first paragraph, he introduces the importance of oil. and he imagines a world that human lives without oil. Although he pictures a world humans can be used more advanced technologies to substitute with oil. In his last two sentences “when it isn’t snowing; but maybe there won’t be any more winter”. still, leave out a question to us — can humans live without oil? In addition, he has given some specific example that is imagined in next paragraph. For example, he states that “We are eating locally, and even growing organic vegetables”. I like his strategy by expanding the oil shortage to the future human world. This lets readers think about what else would be influenced by the oil shortage. He also makes a lot of sense in picturing the future, and I can relate to most of them since we are already experiencing less or more.

Furthermore. In his blog, he also includes the changes in the wearing and human activities. I agree with his saying about there will be wars and riots in society that people will fight for food, and all the currencies will lose value because no one will want to save money on the bank.

Overall, The author makes his blog pretty persuasive to me, as he used a very unique strategy to demonstrate his point of view. In his prediction, there are a lot of things going on that change negatively on human lives. By reading his blog, readers will find it somehow related to their experience. Although the author does not give his ideas of solution. but rather, he pictures a world that shows us what a worse world we will live in the future. and it does more than anything else.
