An awareness campaign to save our State animal — Fishing cat…
On 20th January 2017, ASED team had participated in a fair organised by Howrah Zila Parisad at Shyampur. ASED team in collaboration with Zila Parishad had given a stall there.
Most of the people are unaware about the importance of Fishing cat. It is the state animal of West Bengal. Moreover it has an important role in our ecosystem. Day by day their numbers are going down due to several causes like loss of their habitat, food scarcity etc.
So we arranged an awareness campaign in the fair to aware people about the importance of Fishing cat with the help of some fun games and activities.
This is a fun game where people have to feed the fishing cat with the fish having their eyes closed. They have to put the fish inside the marked place of the mouth.
