Over 70 software development students turned out for last night’s Pierce County IT Tech Internship Info Session held at Green River College’s Auburn Center campus.

Speakers included Dawn Thomas (Human Resources and Operations Supervisor), Larry Gezelius (Architecture and Software Development Manager), and Jared Erickson (GIS Software Developer).

In Part One of the Info Session, Thomas, Gezelius, and Erickson promoted current internship openings with Pierce County IT and spotlighted a number of previous intern-led projects.

In Part Two of the Session, the trio fielded questions from the audience and engaged in light networking with students.

The event also featured a special guest-speaking appearance from Joshua Clark, who completed his bachelor’s degree in software development at Green River in 2017 and recently joined Pierce County IT full-time as a Software Engineer.

On behalf of Green River’s Bachelor of Applied Science in Software Development, thank you Dawn Thomas, Larry Gezelius, and Jared Erickson for carving time from your busy schedules to visit campus and speak with students. We hope to have you back in 2021!
