Genuine Reasons Why Your Flight Is Being Delayed

Kindly cooperate as we come up with excuses

Thank you for choosing to fly with us today. We hope you have an excellent journey. Unfortunately, we regret to inform you that you won’t be reaching your destination on time for one or many of the following reasons:

1. The runway bus driver, who was supposed to bring you to the aircraft from the gate, is showing off the entire runway to the passengers.
2. A cabin crew member is playing charades with some enthusiastic passengers instead of explaining pre-flight safety instructions.
3. Our pilots are experiencing sudden dementia. Please wait till they recall how to fly a plane.
4. A passenger won’t stop talking on their phone. We can’t take off because tiny phones are harmful to our massive aircraft.
5. We’re busy chilling your food because it tastes best when served cold, right?
6. An aisle seat passenger is adamant about getting a window seat belonging to a kid. The kid wants it too. They’ve decided to sort out the dispute over a match of rock paper scissors. The passenger suspects the kid is cheating, so we’ll have another match. Thank you for your patience.
7. A cabin crew member successfully cracked a joke while making the welcome announcement. Now, she won’t stop before performing her entire set.
8. A passenger has inserted the seat belt on their pant buckles. We need some time to disentangle them.
9. There’s a sudden thunderstorm out there. We thought it would be sunny today but looks like we’ve been fooled. Climate change is real. Stop flying. Take the train.
10. A passenger hasn’t boarded the plane yet. Oh wait, they’ve canceled. This is sudden. We need some time to come up with a different excuse. Sorry for the delay!
