Celebrating our favorite satire pieces of the past week!
It’s Monday, and you know what that means! Here are some of the pieces that kept us ROTFL-ing all week long:
Our very own Brett Shollenberger interrupted the front page of McSweeney’s this week with breaking news of a bombshell report — cable news Mad Libs are like regular Mad Libs, but depressing. Also, much higher stakes, but they don’t always seem to know that!
Elizabeth Simone exemplified the power of format with this delightful piece. Here, Jerry, complete this crossword. Check it out on Slackjaw!
We couldn’t get enough of this Shouts and Murmurs piece by Nguyên Khôi Nguyễn. A gorgeously illustrated funny piece about a dog? That’s practically the definition of our wheelhouse!
Also from Shouts and Murmurs, Zoe Pearl penned this hilarious piece that had us laughing and definitely not googling whether cryopreservation is real and how far away we are as a society from it. *nervous laughter*
Head over to Reductress for a headline so relatable we can’t help but feel called out. Written by Katie Waldron!
