Dear Employees,

We know the last year and a half has been incredibly difficult for you. Through massive social injustice, a global pandemic, and catastrophic weather patterns, you’ve had a lot of questions. Questions like, “What can I do if I’m unable to work during an illness?” “Will I be paid for days I can’t work due to changes in my environment?” and “Are you seriously asking me to work right now?”

We want you to know: we hear you. Things have been incredibly difficult, and it seems like this kind of thing is just going to keep happening, we guess. That’s why now, many, many months overdue, we’re announcing new policies for working during historic events.

Firstly, we want everyone to feel comfortable speaking to their manager about anything they believe might be affecting their work, as long as that thing doesn’t make the manager uncomfortable.
