Hi Greener Pastures Readers and Writers,
As you might have noticed, we’ve been a bit sporadic this year in terms of regular posting and quick email responses… our bad.
That’s because when we started Greener Pastures (GP), we were still relatively new to taking comedy seriously, and the magazine began to grow during COVID lockdown, which meant we had more time to explore this new venture.
But now those days of government-mandated isolation are primarily gone. A good portion of us went back to our daily lives: getting married, taking care of family, full-time office work, moving to better healthcare-friendly countries, etc. For the handful of us that stayed, it’s felt like trying to keep afloat an abandoned cargo ship.
The initial purpose of GP was to be a place for new writers like us to develop their unique voice and publish pieces other sites wouldn’t take. But we’ve all grown from where we started roughly 5 years ago. We’ve developed our skills and have become better writers, comedians, and performers. Not only do we want the magazine to grow with us, but we
also want it to be a place a writer would want to submit to first.
