With God As My Witness, I Will Go To Bed At A Reasonable Hour Tonight
I won’t need to wind down with wine or the occasional sleep aid because my body will be naturally tired
Tonight will be the night I finally change my bad habits. If I go to bed early, I will wake up tomorrow and finally be well rested. I’ll even be able to cook a well balanced breakfast. I’ll read the news, enjoy my tea, (yes, you drink tea now) and still have time to prepare a lunch for work.
This means no more brain fog. I can say good-bye to those dark circles around my eyes. And who knows, I might even find time to go to the gym after work. If I go to bed early that means my day can start at 6am. I’ll have two full hours before I would need to get ready for the day. I can do crossword puzzles to awaken my mind. Maybe even yoga to awake the body.
I can see it all now. I won’t need to wind down with wine or the occasional sleep aid because my body will be naturally tired. I’ll fall asleep the moment my head touches the pillow. It’ll be the best rest I ever get. I will no longer use productivity as an excuse to extend the day. We both know what that really means: a fourth hour of television that I won’t even pay attention to.
