A paradigm shift is happening lately in eco-design and architecture. Many people are willing to switch to alternatives based on restoration, regeneration, and recycling methods. This switch shall not be a choice anymore but a necessity in the near future. As temperatures are rising and many more effects of global warming are touching our lives with greater force year after year, Concrete and bricks solely will not be in a capacity to sustain these changes. Our ancestors portrayed a great understanding of the construction material and design that synchronizes so harmoniously with extreme weather and does not pollute or exploit the ecosystem of the place. They well understood that to receive the best from nature that sustains all life forms, and we should befriend it soon, unlike now, when we look around, we see concrete jungles surrounding us and how exploitative we have been of our surroundings.

A few warriors are at the forefront of this wave of change and bring indigenous knowledge back to the community. Within the scope of upgraded design and mutating the usage of the biomaterial or discarded material, they are able to restore the balance between creativity and ecology.

Here are a few pioneers that are creating a ripple effect in the spaces through their eco-architectural design.

A home is more about space than a place. The space that we reside in rejuvenate and reconnect with our true selves and our loved ones. But as we moved from community-based upliftment to an individualistic approach of upliftment, we tended to move farther away from the very nature that hosts our homes. Our judgements about better infrastructure bear the cost of deforestation, waterbed depletion, concrete pollution, exploitation of the fossils and the soil, and the list might go on until we confuse devolution with evolution. It’s time we choose and move consciously from this point and adapt to changes that aids this civilization and the planet. And that we begin this change from our temporary homes to the permanent one, the Earth.

Do you question yourself, What next is there with respect to human evolution? Have we forgotten to evolve ourselves but the machines? Are we even truly aware?
