GreenLink’s CTO, Fai Wong had the honour of participating in the first decentralised application (dApp) oriented hackathon, dubbed a dappathon, in Kuala Lumpur.

The event, organised by Dapp.com and Blocklime Technologies, is aimed at increasing awareness of blockchain, nurturing more development talent and building successful uses cases.

GreenLink’s social ledger was demonstrated and officially launched at the event and the code base is released under open source licenses for others to use.

Following the event, GreenLink is currently in discussion with Malaysia’s Ministry of Energy, Technology, Science, Climate Change and Environment. Its minister Yeo Bee Yin is open to the possibility of applying GreenLink’s blockchain technology to improve government efficiency.
