Every day, people from all over the world fight to ensure a green, peaceful and safe future for our planet. From Hungary to Japan, here’s a look at some of the top Greenpeace images this week:

ANTARCTIC Ship Tour — Daniel Beltrá

Stranger Things star David Harbour and Fantastic Beasts star Alison Sudol on a Greenpeace expedition to help make the case for an Antarctic Ocean Sanctuary
Greenpeace Japan sent a team down to Amami Oshima where the tarry residues are washed ashore, to bear witness and to hear residents’ concerns
The ship tour will highlight efforts of the people who are reclaiming their rights to safe and ecologically sourced food, rights to resilient and thriving oceans, and to witness how the people are taking their power back by telling stories of survival and hope
Illustration of the campaign “More ecological food in schools”. Some chemical synthetic pesticides have negative impacts on children. Greenpeace Hungary encourages the nursery and primary schools to provide ecological food to children

“Eat less but quality meat!” workshop in Hungary

Greenpeace Hungary organized a workshop about the environmental and health impacts of the meat producing methods and about the meat consumption habits. Greenpeace aim to establish an NGO coalition, in order to be able to lobby together for a better CAP. In the meeting there were many participants from different fields including some key Hungarian NGO’s, animal breeders and a nutrition researcher

Grow your own meals in the backyard in Bangkok

Dujrutai Kongkacharoen, a Bangkok resident, picks vegetables from her own backyard. She plants different types of vegetables and often uses them to make her own meals
Today’s air pollution index in Bangkok reached “unhealthy” and “very unhealthy” levels which warn people with respiratory diseases to avoid prolonged outdoor exposure

Actor Javier Bardem doing a submarine dive on Antarctic expedition

And congratulations to one of our photographers: Daniel Beltrá has been nominated with his Amazon Reef story for the World Press Environment Award. He shot these photos last year for Greenpeace as part of the Amazon Reef Campaign.

And for Valentines’ Day!
