Every day, people from all over the world fight to ensure a green and peaceful future for our planet. From the Philippines to Turkey, here’s a look at some of the top Greenpeace images this week:

The “Ship It Back” Rainbow Warrior tour in the Philippines aims to highlight the role of plastic producers in the pollution in Manila Bay and the Filipinos’ efforts in tackling the plastic crisis. Documentation is carried out as well as activities like open boat events and protests
Greenpeace invites Victoria Koblenko (Dutch actress, presenter and columnist) to the Philippines, to witness first hand the impact of plastic production. The Philippines has become a dumping ground for the world’s plastic pollution

The activists deliver a petition for sustainable and species appropriate animal farming

Recipes for the Climate

Today’s food harms the climate more than transport. Too many meat and dairy products, the production of which is responsible for the majority of nutrition-related greenhouse gas emissions, end up on the plates. In order to curb global warming, the consumption of animal products must be reduced.
To show that the world of plant nutrition is varied, tasty and healthy, Greenpeace Switzerland and Tibits, a vegetarian and vegan restaurant, launch a series of “Recipes for the Climate”, for which vegan, seasonal and mainly regional products are used. Each season four to five climate-friendly recipes are published
Manta rays swim over a cleaning station in Nusa Lembongan, Bali, Indonesia. During the wet season tides of plastic pollution wash onto Indonesia beaches out of water ways. Over 200,000 tonnes of plastic are dumped into the world’s oceans every year
Namsan, the iconic mountain in Seoul is blurry in thick ultrafine dust(right), compared to the clear day
Activists display “Resista” (Resist in Portuguese) banner in front of the White House in response to Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro’s first visit to the US. Similar to how Resist became a phrase to embody the attacks on the environment and civil rights from the Trump administration, Resista has been used by Brazilian activists as a call to action against the Brazilian Government’s attack on civil rights, climate, natural eco-systems, and indigenous peoples’ rights critical to protecting climate-critical forests and other ecosystems. Jair Bolsonaro’s administration has marked a new extreme in rhetoric and actions against Indigenous Peoples, LGBT, People of Color, workers’ rights, democracy, justice, environment, and science
