Heartbreaking: 14-year-old Goldsboro Teenager found dead at Camp Lejeune
The body of a 14-year-old teenager from Goldsboro, North Carolina was swept off while fishing in the New River Inlet on the Fourth of July.
According to the authorities, Mainor and his brother were wading in the waters near the New Inlet at Topsail Island on July 4th when they encountered difficulties. While Mainor’s brother was rescued by a passing boat, Mainor himself disappeared into the water. An extensive search was launched, but it was not until Sunday morning that Mainor’s remains were discovered on the shores of the Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune, located near the New River Inlet.
