🚨The AI Coffee House FAQs🚨

1. What is The GSG AI Coffee House?
The AI Coffee House gathers like-minded individuals with an interest and curiosity in applying artificial intelligence tools and constructs to think about big future ideas and current events, as well as the morals and ethics that are changing amongst us.

The idea is to reason things through and have debates and discussions about where things are going, all to satisfy our own curiosities and inform our practices as we go into the world.

It's a professional organization with professional communication, civilized discourse, and we aim to create artifacts that can be shared with others based on these conversations. Of course, we use the tools we discuss. We always share things like ideas, research, books, news, experiences, and good wishes.

It's a positive organization that leans towards critical hope and optimism in the face of grave dangers.

2. Who is participating?
Participants are contributors from diverse fields, including business, science, and technology. They share ideas and experiences. They are highly experienced professionals with twenty to thirty years of experience in implementing software. They have situational awareness of how things are adjusting and changing, especially with the explosion of AI in the past three years. People self-select and network amongst the group to grow their reach and learn new things about new sectors and hopefully join together in ventures and learning.

3. What are the Roles?
This is a collegial structure where everyone has a voice. Discussions run around a table, and participants may present their work or ideas, or pick an agenda topic to explore deeply. There are also demos and presentations from time to time. While much of the work involves unstructured brainstorming, there is always a moderator to ensure respectful discussion and an organizer to create a structured agenda and guide the meeting. The lead moderators are Rob Tyrie and Chuck Metz Jr.

4. Why do we do it?
The core purpose is to explore new technology through conversation while using the technology to summarize, analyze, and share information afterward. The goal is to create something useful to answer questions and guide participants in their projects, goals, and relationships.

5. What are the Guiderails?
The AI Coffee House follows Chatham House Rules to ensure respectful and productive discussions.

The content that is created is shared and usable fly all the group responsibly. Remember where you got the ideas from and sharing the wealth that you create.

By default meetings are recorded notes are taken and the information is shared. Probably discussions to be held outside the meanings.

If you see something say something.

Be good. Be kind. Listen actively.

Be short, and think before you speak.

Use the moderator.

6. When do we do it?
Meetings are held almost every Sunday at 11:00 AM for ninety minutes.

7. Where do we do it?
The AI Coffee House is held online via Google Meets. This platform allows the group to explore Google technology while conducting its business and producing the Coffee House Newsletter. Meetings are recorded.

8. Is there an online space or community?
Yes, there is a WhatsApp group used for collaboration and communication outside the meetings. There's also a channel on the Grey Swan Guild discord server.

9. What is the newsletter?
The newsletter includes updates and information about The AI Coffee House. If available, a link is shared in the description for those interested in learning more. We use different tools like gamma, ChatGPT, perplexity and Claude to create the artifacts for sharing purposes. The newsletter is published monthly and sometimes weekly.
