A side hustle is any type of employment or job taken in addition to a regular job. They are generally freelance, meaning you work for yourself without a boss monitoring you. They are not the same as a part-time job. With a part-time job, someone else is still calling the shots on when you will get paid. They also give you plenty of freedom to decide how much work you want to do, and how you want to search for it.

Side hustles are slowly becoming more popular, especially in today’s world, because of a lack of financial security. Among youth, they provide a reliable way to earn money while showcasing the talents and gifts teens exhibit. Many side hustles start by making either little-to-no money, but if you keep at it consistently, you can earn enough to live off of and make it into a career.
