Ingredients
- 1.5oz Sipsmith London Dry Gin
- 0.5oz Bruxo X Mezcal
- 0.5oz Yellow Chartreuse
- 0.5oz Agave Syrup
- 3 dashes grapefruit bitters
- 0.5oz CBD infused butterfly pea tea
- Large ice cube
Instructions
- Combine all ingredients, minus the CBD infused butterfly pea tea
- Stir for ten seconds
- Place large ice cube in coupe glass
- Strain mixture over the ice
- Garnish the ice cube with star anise
- Add CBD infused butterfly pea tea
According to Bobby Gilardi, the purpose of garnishing the ice cube with anise is so that when the cube slides under your nose as you sip, the anise comes alive. The Walter Mercado Cocktail recipe is still a regular on Ariete’s drink menu as part of their Miami Legends selection.
