TikTok is a popular social app that was originally known as “Musical.ly.” In simplest terms, the app was designed as a platform for young adults and teenagers to upload short clips featuring the user lip-syncing and dancing to various songs. Since its launch, it has become popular among millennials and across other generations. Now, users use it to not only upload singing and dancing videos, but audio clip featuring prank wars, challenges, comedy routines, etc. It’s pretty similar to Vine, which was an app with the same features that shut down in early 2017. So we know TikTok is popular within social circles, and is considered a fun and entertaining app. However, it can also be used as a business model. Here are some of the ways an entrepreneur can use TikTok to expand their business.

Brand ambassadors

Brand ambassadors are becoming a very hot topic in today’s world. As TikTok grows as a company, brand ambassadors do the same. By using a brand ambassador to talk about something you are selling, you are adding more expertise to your particular business. You can do this, preferably by hiring someone else.

Tiktok is treated like TV

What sets TikTok apart from other social media platforms is the ability to make users feel like they are watching TV shows. This is great for creators and brands on the platform as it gets users hooked and compels them to know what happens next.

Unlikely brands are flocking to TikTok

Brands have begun to understand that to confidently deliver a disruptive brand activation that bolsters relevance, they need to transcend traditional ad messages. These companies are going to be more susceptible to the app and use it as an opportunity.

You can use TikTok for business in a variety of ways. The first way would be to hire an ambassador or influencer to help promote what you are trying to sell. A second way would be to run high quality ads on to bring people to your page. Personally I think Tiktok is a really good idea for influencers on YouTube who are trying to gain more views on their channel. Another way to use TikTok for your business is to just purely promote your products on the app. With this, your company as a whole will gain more people

TikTok is the considered one of the best apps for business in 2020 because the number of users is incredibly high. It is estimated that worldwide, TikTok has around 800 million users, and the app itself has been downloaded more than 1.5 billion times. Additionally, while it originally caught the attention of younger perople, it has proven to be popular among working adults, and therefore could be a good idea to implement this app in the workplace. TikTok is known as “the new app on the block,” embodying characteristics from Instagram, Snapchat, and Vine, creating what appears to be an ideal combination.
