If you’re unfamiliar, streetwear is a casual, trendy style of clothing that features a brand’s logo on things like t-shirts, hats, jackets, and bags. It has gotten particularly popular among the younger Gen-Z and Millennial crowds, and certain brands have gained a pretty loyal following. Below are some of the most well-known streetwear brands to check out.

Dream is streetwear apparel that focuses on a larger purpose — mental health. They encourage all those who suffer with their mental health to keep up the fight no matter how difficult it may be. D.R.E.A.M. donates 10 percent of their sales directly to nonprofit organizations that spread mental health awareness and strive to find new cures for mental illness.

Riot Society

Riot Society is a Los Angeles-based clothing and accessories company that designs primarily graphic tees, among other apparel items. The bio on the company about page pretty much sums up what they’re all about in one line: “Live how you want to live, be who you want to be. Life’s a riot, blah, blah, blah.” Among Riot Society’s main competitors are fashion stores like Asos, Old Navy, H&M, Gap, and Macy’s. Riot Society is centered around the simple core idea of having fun with friends, enjoying your time around and conversations with like-minded people. Their tees have cool, laid-back designs.

RipNDip is a Los Angeles-based clothing brand originally founded in Orlando, Florida. Ryan O’Connor launched the brand in 2009, and today it is known for its niche voice and eccentric designs. Not only is RipNDip fearless when it comes to the idea of straying away from the norm — that’s what makes it the brand it is. Like the other streetwear brands mentioned, their website boasts accessories, hoodies, t-shirts and more. The brand also has popular keychains, water bottles, socks and most uniquely, skateboard designs.

At the cornerstone of the brand’s ideals is their “do it yourself” mindset and a quality over quantity approach. They create high-quality clothing and boast a commitment to community, utilizing local and in-house materials. What makes Slush Cult stand out is its unique claim to being more than just a streetwear brand. Proudly, they refer to themselves as a cult!
