How to Invest in Greyp’s Digitalized Equity Offering
Our digitalized equity offering for retail investors is well underway and attracted an overwhelming response. First we were forced to expand our whitelist of early registrations, second, we blew past our soft cap to shoot above Eur 1 million invested in just a few days and now we have a couple of weeks of our public sale to go with more and more investors joining every day.
But one thing we have heard from many of you is that you need more help to be guided through the various steps in the process to be able to complete your investment. We want to welcome you into the Greyp family as an investor joining us on our journey to power beyond making award-winning bikes to build out a connected mobility platform. That’s why we have put together this step-by-step guide from registration to your final investment, where you can own a part of Greyp jus like the major shareholders such as Porsche.
Follow the steps and help us realize the vision of our CEO Mate Rimac for a world of zero ownership, zero emissions and zero accidents.
STEP 1- Registration
The first step to owning a part of Greyp, and participating in the connected mobility of the future is registering an account on the Neufund platform. There are three possible options to create an account. In this guide, we will use the “Light Wallet” option, which allows you to create a new wallet on the platform, in which you can store your Greyp equity tokens. (Photo 1)
The other two steps enable cryptocurrency users to connect their Metamask or Ledger Nano S wallets to the platform directly, without generating a new wallet. To set up a Light Wallet, enter your email address and a desired password. After repeating the password, click on the Register button to create your Neufund account.
STEP 2 - Setting up your profile
Once you’ve successfully created a new account, you will be directed to the landing page of your Neufund account. Near the top of the page, you will see an alert that you need to complete your profile (Photo 2).
Click on that alert to be redirected to your Neufund profile. Your profile displays the three key components required before you can start investing (Photo 3).
First, you will need to confirm your email address that you used to register to the platform. Open your email and you should see a mail from the Neufund team. In this email, you will find two buttons. Click on the Verify my email button to verify your email address. The other button in this email is used to login to the platform for security reasons, so keep this email flagged and do not lose it.
STEP 3 - Creating a wallet
(this step is necessary only if you registered with a Light Wallet)
After verifying your email address, you can go to the next step — which is creating a new wallet on the platform. This wallet will be used to store your tokens, which represent company equity. To create the wallet click on “Generate Recovery Phrase” (photo 4) to start this process.
Enter your password and carefully read the instructions. You will then be presented the 24-word “seed phrase” (photo 5) which allows you to control your wallet. You can use these words to always unlock your wallet and take control of the funds. Write down the 24 words and keep them safe.
Do not show them to anyone! Below the seed phrase, you can also see the private key. Think of the private key as a pin code for your credit card, which you use to sign the transactions. Copy it and store it in a safe place. Do not share or show your private key! You will then be asked to confirm 4 of your seed phrase words to verify that you have stored them. After completing this, your wallet will be created.
STEP 4 - Identity verification process
The last step of your profile verification is the identity verification process, also known as the “Know Your Customer” or KYC process. This is very important as you are going to be buying shares of a company, and to be able to exercise your rights, your identity has to be verified. Click on “Verify my identity” (photo 6) to start the process.
Fill out your personal data and proceed to the document upload. There are two ways in which you can verify your identity. It can be done either via a video call or by uploading the documents that prove your identity. The video call is a quicker process, but you will be asked by the Neufund support to deliver a proof of address which is no older than 3 months. This can be a utility bill or most documents which has your name and address. Once you’ve completed the identity verification, you can go to the next steps.
STEP 5 - Transfering funds to the platform
There are two ways of buying Greyp Equity Tokens over the Neufund platform. The investment can be done either in EUR or ETH. Go to the “Wallet” tab.
5.1. Buying nEUR tokens
If you wish to invest with EUR, you will have to buy nEUR tokens, which represent EUR on the Neufund platform. To do this, you will have to link your bank account (photo 7) to the platform by sending a bank transfer to the account provided by the platform.
Click on Link New Account and accept the terms shown. You will be presented with information (photo 8) which you have to use to create your bank transfer. You can either do this using your bank’s mobile/web application or by going directly to the bank and creating a transfer there. Please note that you must include the reference number in your payment, or the payment will be reverted. After sending the bank transfer, click on Bank Transfer Completed, to complete the process.
A quick note: You will be requested to send a small transaction of 1 EUR to “Link your account”. This is only to ensure that you’re doing the bank transfer correctly. If you have experience with cross-border bank transfers, feel free to send the entire investment sum right away.
5.2. Transferring ETH
On the other hand, transferring ETH to the platform is also pretty simple and straight-forward. Clicking on “Receive” (photo 9) will display a window that contains a QR code of your ETH address. You can scan it with your phone wallet, or just copy the Ethereum address and use it to send a transaction from your wallet.
STEP 6 - Investing
Once you’ve completed your profile verification, you can now INVEST and become a part of Greyp. Navigate to the Greyp dashboard — https://platform.neufund.org/li/greyp .
Here you can see the currently collected amount and a button to invest (photo 10). You can invest in a couple of simple steps. First, click on the “Invest” button. This will prompt a modal display which will let you choose which currency you want to invest with (nEUR or ETH).
Choose your preferred currency and complete the investment transaction. The transaction completion will take a few seconds as it is performed on the live Ethereum blockchain. Once completed, you will be able to check your “Portfolio” tab and see the reserved GRP tokens. You will be able to claim your tokens after the sale is completed.
