Contract Establishes a Marketplace for Cutting-Edge Intelligent Transportation Solutions

The Atlanta metro area is home to 6.9M residents and is the 8th most populous metro region in the US

SAN FRANCISCO, CA, Wednesday April 5th, 2023 — GridMatrix, the leading provider of cloud-based transportation analytics, is proud to announce that Georgia’s Department of Transportation (GDOT) has selected its suite of AI and machine learning-powered traffic analytics software for a statewide intelligent transportation solutions (ITS) marketplace. GDOT is the 10th largest state DOT in the U.S., with a $4B operating budget and over 3,700 staff.

The contract will allow any jurisdiction in the state of Georgia to purchase GridMatrix’s transportation analytics software. The contract term extends for one year and allows four possible yearly extensions.

“We are excited to partner with GDOT and have our technology selected after a national review of market leading ITS Solutions,” said GridMatrix Co-Founder and CEO Nicholas D’Andre. “GridMatrix has had a Georgia presence outside of Atlanta since 2021, operating a deployment in Peachtree Corners. This contract offers an opportunity to build that local success into a statewide system and establish a strong presence in the southeast.”

Now active in 12 cities and counting across the United States and Europe, this contract offers an opportunity for GridMatrix to continue its proven track record of success with scaled deployments in the Peach State.
