‘The One-in-a-Million Boy’ Explores Grief, Friendship, and Redemption

Monica Wood’s award-winning book, The One-in-a-Million Boy is not, specifically, about grief, although the premise of the book is heavily predicated on the death of an 11-year-old child. We learn about his death on page two, so this isn’t exactly a spoiler, but take note — there are spoilers in this review.
