Hello Neighbors,

Neighborhood Ambassadors is back and under a brand new ASUM agency. After the Renter Center went on hiatus starting in spring 2021, ASUM made some changes to the scope of that office’s work and revived our agency as “Bear Necessities”! We took on some of the work that the Renter Center did such as: helping first-time renters learn about their rights and responsibilities, and hosting the Neighborhood Ambassadors program. We were also able to expand our mission to include new programing including: case management for students experiencing basic needs insecurity, a referral program, advocacy and policy research, and so much more! We are excited to continue educating our community on renter’s rights and responsibilities as well as promote positive relationships with our neighbors throughout Missoula. Below is our newsletter for the month of February. In it, you can find reminders on Missoula city ordinances, our resource of the month, and meet your new neighborhood ambassadors Allison and Emma!

Join us as we grow, and as the Neighborhood Ambassadors grow right along with us! Subscribe to our newsletter today to stay up to date.

Now that you have heard a little bit about Bear Necessities and your Neighborhood Ambassadors, it’s your turn! Use this postcard to introduce yourself to your neighbor. Let them know they can contact you if they ever need a hand or just want to say hello. Introducing yourself to you neighbor is the firt step in building camaraderie and avoiding the unpleasantries.
