Free Snow Shovel Rentals for UM Students
While Missoula’s current temperatures might have you baffled as to how there is a high of 47 degrees in late January, it is always better to be prepared for when the heavy snow does come. To help you be prepared for this, the Neighborhood Ambassadors of the University of Montana are offering free snow shovel rentals to anyone in the Missoula community! Did you know that there is a huge fine for not shoveling your sidewalks in the winter? The City of Missoula fines people who don’t shovel their sidewalks a $70 minimum fine. An easy way to avoid this is to stop by the ASUM Renter Center, located in the University Center on campus, and grab a free snow shovel for the winter! It is super easy and all you have to do is fill out a quick form and promise to return it at the end of the winter. This process takes less than five minutes and is a sure way for you to steer clear of some unnecessary fines this winter!
So whenever you have an extra five minutes, stop by the ASUM Renter Center, meet your Neighborhood Ambassadors, and take home a free snow shovel for the season.
