CONSUMER ALERT!!

If you are seeking to rent property be very cautious of persons or companies advertising to lease property that is not theirs. Fraudulent property listings have been posted pretending to have authority to rent property in Missoula. In at least one case in they have fraudulently taken security deposits or advance rent payments.

BEWARE of property listings by Cameron Laurence at rentalguidecondos@gmail.com

BE ON THE LOOKOUT FOR RED FLAGS such as:

· They won’t allow a visit to the property

· They are advertising to sublet someone else’s property

· Odd wording in the ad such as “I have pleasure in offering”

· The address of the listing does not match the property described in the ad

DO NOT pay money without confirming that the person or company is either the property owner or a legitimate property management company with authority to manage the property.
