Soon after the launch of Fund I, Cory and David launched Ground Up’s Campus Partners Program. In our first cohort, we had 30 Campus Partners representing dozens of universities across the United States. As we launch our 2019 cohort, we are excited to share our new vision and expand our geographical reach for the program.

Tl;dr: It’s going to be awesome. Apply here.

Focus

Our Campus Partners program is focused on nurturing the future leaders of the startup and venture capital ecosystems. We see this playing out in a few different ways:

  • Education: Throughout the program, we aim to provide our Campus Partners with the resources they need to succeed. From hands-on experience in meetings with founders to performing due diligence, we believe that the best way to learn is by doing. Along the way, we will host workshops to help our Campus Partners understand the industry from sourcing investments to venture math.
  • Networking: Our Campus Partners will be our eyes and ears on college campuses. That means that Campus Partners will be responsible for branding themselves as the go-to person on campus who can connect founders to investors. As their networks get stronger, they’ll find it opening doors for them long after the program.
  • Experience: At the end of the day, you’re here to learn. Whether on-campus or off, we want to give you a hands-on experience that you’ll never forget. Be prepared to get involved in every aspect of the venture business.

Expanding to US & Israel

As a firm with roots in both the US and Israel, we’re excited to share that we’re expanding the program to university students in Israel. This is exciting for many reasons but the most exciting part is that our Campus Partners will gain access to a global network of like-minded individuals who they will learn, grow, and collaborate with for years to come.

Student first, Campus Partner second

We understand that your focus is on school, where it should be. Our program is flexible around your schedule. We are a distributed team so we do not have an office that you need to come into, although we do want to conduct in-person meetings periodically throughout the program. We ask for a time commitment of at least 3 hours per week. As with every experience in life: the more you give to it, the more you get from it. We have a lot of ground to cover and request that you apply only if you can make it work.

As a Campus Partner, you will:

  • Source investment opportunities and perform due diligence
  • Assist with marketing and branding projects
  • Support Ground Up’s portfolio companies
  • Represent Ground Up on campus and at local events

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal Campus Partner is someone that is passionate about technology, is connected to the entrepreneurial community on campus, and is determined to make an impact. If you love talking to people about technology and startups, we want to chat with you!

If you’re interested in becoming a Campus Partner, please fill out this form! Applications are due by February 7th!
