Who should founders approach for their first round of funding? What’s the average time it takes to close a pre-A round from the first meeting to receiving the funds? Will my prospects for raising capital look better or worse in 2019? These are questions we get asked all of the time. In line with our mission to help founders more easily navigate the fundraising process, we surveyed nearly two dozen of Israel’s seed venture capitalists to uncover their investment activity, market outlook and more.

We would like to thank our friends at TLV Partners, Samsung NEXT, Maniv Mobility, Meron Capital, Reimagine Ventures, Fresh Fund, Cardumen Capital, Cornerstone Venture Partners, MizMaa Ventures, Jumpspeed Ventures, Vertex Ventures, Flint Capital, Hetz Ventures, F2 Capital, JANVEST, UpWest Labs, ICV, Grove Ventures, lool Ventures, Glilot Capital Partners, YL Ventures, and Hanaco Ventures for believing in the mission of greater market transparency for founders and for contributing to the survey.

We hope that founders find our inaugural State of Seed Investing — Israel 2018 report to be helpful and look forward to sharing this report (and in the future one covering the US market as well) for years to come.

Enjoyed the report? Have questions or comments? We’d love to hear your feedback.

Special thank you to Jordan Odinsky for the beautiful design and hard work that made this report possible.
