The Groundhog team is thrilled to announce that we’ve joined the inaugral cohort of Tachyon, the new accelerator from ConsenSys Ventures.

Tachyon is designed for projects with an idea that will take the blockchain and Ethereum ecosystem to the next level.

Groundhog was a natural fit, with our novel approach to enabling recurring subscription payments via Ethereum via our end-to-end payment platform which includes a consumer wallet (Groundhog Wallet) and merchant gateway (Groundhog Pay).

The San Francisco-based blockchain and Ethereum-focused accelerator program kicked off today with talks and visits from Tim Draper and Joseph Lubin and runs from mid-September to mid-November. It will slingshot early stage blockchain and Ethereum projects from idea to viable MVP. The Tachyon program gives participants the opportunity to learn from and to be mentored by members from within the ConsenSys Mesh (including MetaMask, Truffle, Infura, Ujo, Civil, Trustology, Adhara, Token Foundry, Labs, and Legal), pioneers in the blockchain technology space, and advisors from the web 2.0 and web 3.0 worlds. Founders have a chance to pitch venture capitalists and angel investors at Demo Day at the close of the program.
