Let Americans go back to work.

This post is addressing Americans but is obviously- universal.

I know this post may upset many of you who think staying at home is the only viable solution to the coronavirus outbreak but I have to put it here regardless of how many this post will upset:

WE HAVE TO GET AMERICA BACK TO WORK

If we don’t do so within the next three weeks the Great Depression will be a walk in the park vs. what we are soon facing.

We are wiping out the hopes and dreams of generations to save the elderly and buy time for our ailing healthcare system.

Keeping professionals (65 and under) stuck at home with their children is not the solution & is not a fair price to ask them to pay.

Staying at home is a luxury of rich people.

Period. Don’t you dare telling me otherwise.

Don’t educate me with stats and flattening the curve and all this obvious crap. I too read the news and research pieces and am aware of the risks associated with going back to work, (whilst maintaining the tens of MMs of Americans have already contracted this virus since December).

We have no choice — It is not a fair trade but we can’t keep nuking this vibrant economy.

Before jumping the gun on me — let me clarify that I’m all for — Maintaining social distancing, preventing social gatherings of more than 10 people, using masks at work, using gloves, limiting number of people on public transportation, disinfecting public places and offices frequently, running mass tests with 45 minutes turnaround time, tracking and isolating people who are infected and keeping people 65 and over who are at risk — close to their homes until we have capacity at our hospitals.

We have the technology, we have the science, we (still) have the financial means as a nation, we have resilient people and above all -

We have children with a promising future to take care of.

Let us do what we do best — LET AMERICANS WORK.
