Think of when building a tower out of small Lego blocks. You have to be
careful not to lose track from what you have first drawn in your mind.
This week, our team traced back on what we have gone through until now.
During the Wednesday class session, as a preparation of our final
presentation, we rearranged our process so far and tried to find out what
was missing in order to strengthen the logic we have.
As well as reviewing our process, we also made some steps further by
finalizing our news stand design. When doing the rough sketch, we tried to
focus on the five basic design principles we set for our news stand
design; i)Brand visibility, ii)Stand visibility, iii)Improved
accessibility, iv)Protection on paper conditions, and v)Prevention of
adverse usages. Based on these principles, we consecutively focused on
each part of the news stand from top to bottom. The picture attached is
the final design we came up with, which still have the possibilities of
being further modified. With our rough sketch we discussed together, we
decided to do some mock ups next week. This will be the good start on
finalizing our idea and design for this whole quarter.
