Free Hybrid/Virtual Workplaces

In an effort to simplify GroupRoom’s product offering and focus on hybrid workplaces, we have standardized our room configurations on infinite canvas spaces. Note: matrix, fullscreen, and 3D spaces are no longer available.

Good news: This update means that our free plan now includes a virtual workplace (rather than the original matrix space)!

We have also made improvements to our WebRTC peer-to-peer spatial video technologies and are now able to double our offering to 10 users in the free space (up from 5) and 60 minutes per session (up from 30).

If you are an existing free GroupRoom customer, simply delete your existing matrix-style room and create a new room to take advantage of our new virtual workspaces.

GroupRoom’s paying (PRO) customers have the ability to upload new virtual workplaces as well as digital twin versions of their physical office spaces to create a true hybrid workspace environment for both their local and remote employees.

PRO users also have access to room announcements, embeds (web pages, youtube videos, google docs, whiteboards, and private rooms), and of course more employees and guests per space with longer meeting times. Here’s a video demo of our embeds running in our new virtual workspaces.
