GroupRoom Concerts

In addition to collaboration meetings, breakout rooms, and office parties, you can now host musical events in GroupRoom!

We have added an “Optimized For Musicians” option to the room settings page. This feature removes the following audio filters from the musician’s microphone giving them full control of their HD audio sound: echoCancellation, autoGainControl, and noiseSuppression. We also now capture the musician’s camera settings at 2x everyone else’s settings so that their video is also in HD while in room announcement mode.

We were all huddled together to provide feedback on the sound quality but in a normal setting, the musician could place themselves on the stage and play for the entire room while guests mingle and chat amongst themselves just like in real life (IRL). Fans could approach the stage to chat with or cheer on the musician too.
