Meeting Prep Rooms Now Available in Webex AppHub!
We are super excited to announce a new GroupRoom product, Meeting Prep Rooms, now available in the Webex AppHub!
Have you ever wanted a virtual prep room (or war room) for an upcoming super important meeting? Meeting Prep Rooms by GroupRoom now allow Webex users to create persistent prep rooms in which multiple groups of team members can collaborate in different conversations at the same time!
Meeting Prep Rooms are spatially-aware video chat and collaboration spaces. They are perfect for working sessions leading up to a Webex meeting allowing you and your colleagues to get on the same page prior to a scheduled Webex meeting regardless if the meeting is in 15 minutes or a week or month from now.
You simply move your video avatar bubble around the GroupRoom space to speak with people near you (just like “in real life”). Collaboration tools include: embedded web pages, Google suite, YouTube videos (including live Webex videos!), screen shares, whiteboards, and private rooms.
Getting started is simple:
- Schedule your Webex meeting and copy meeting link
- Open your list of group rooms and select the timer button in the room actions
- Paste the Webex meeting link into the URL of the popup box, adjust the meeting redirect time in GDT, and generate GroupRoom link
Share your new GroupRoom link with your colleagues and begin collaborating. The best part is that everyone is redirected from GroupRoom to the Webex Meeting when the scheduled meeting starts!
