First Impressions:

CMB’s suggested Bagels page.

For the most part, the members on CMB are quite genuine and more inclined to go on get-to-know-you dates rather than hookup-y ones. The app seems to place equal emphasis on a person’s personal description in addition to their picture, so it is not as superficial as some other dating apps. The preliminary questions that need to be answered in the beginning didn’t take too long either so setting your profile up on this app is easy-peasy and fuss-free. So what were its ups and downs?

Pros:

CMB’s match page.
  • The clean layout that makes it easy to follow: Various sections are arranged in a way that makes logical sense. Your actions in one part are superseded by the outcomes in another.
  • The right amount of importance allocated to personal details: Your profile on the app seems to be a good balance of pictures and personal information (the company you work at, hobbies, interests, etc.) rather than just pictures. It gives a more wholesome image of a user, we find.
  • Tips page : Quite notably, there is a section on the site that provides you with more detailed tips and tricks as to how to get more matches. This was a plus given that a good number of apps offer you a mini-tutorial of sorts on how to use their platforms without caring too much about your actual experience on it.

Cons:

CMB’s profile section.
  • Time limit for conversations: You do not get enough time to chat to matches, or ‘bagels,’ in greater detail due to the time-limit restriction imposed on chats. You could reopen the conversation after the time-limit, but this seems to be limited to a certain number of times you can do so.
  • Payment required to match with more prospects (or ‘bagels’): One must trade ‘beans’ (credit on the app) to match with more prospects than usual. Beans are only given on an ad-hoc basis and must be bought if several matches every day is what the user desires.

Final Verdict:

CMB’s chatbox feature.

Overall, the app was easy to navigate. You are able to get to compatible profiles without having to spill some dough on beans! The dates seemed to be the most genuine on this platform.
