July 10 — KiCAD proto class

The lovely Chris, who works at OSH Park, ran a class today with two students (myself and Nick), where he taught us how to use KiCAD. I made the most gnarly board ever!

I also have all my parts for LED prototyping!

Chris helped me figure out how to connect my things. Turns out the LED driver that the lights come with already connect directly to AC wall current, so I didn’t even need the $50 power supply that I bought.

Also got some soldering advice for connecting wires end to end:
