🌾 UPDATE №4 for RICE I 2022 SPONSORS

Hello Sponsors,

We are glad to inform you of the general performance and progress of your sponsored rice farm. Your sponsored farms are progressing well and conditions are at their optimum.

Crop Growth Stage:

Rice plants are in two main developmental stages of growth, the Vegetative stage and the Reproductive stage.

The paddy fields are in different stages of the reproductive growth phases. This is the stage from Panicle initiation (PI — (R0)) to heading with some fields reaching the grain filling and ripening phase.

Other rice fields are in the various vegetative growth stages. Plants in their tillering stage have reached maximum tillering and other fields in the vegetative lag phase. This is the period from the end of active tillering to the beginning of the reproductive phase.

Crop Maintenance:

Farmers in the first batch have all management practices over the last 4 weeks done, and the plants are growing well. Farmers in the second batch who are preparing for the next phase of Fertiliser application (top-dressing) and weed control are ongoing.

Weather Conditions:

The images below show the accumulated precipitation, moisture, and temperature as of August 14th, 2022.

Precipitation (rainfall) over the farming area is 0 mm which means no rainfall was observed in the paddy fields. Farmers are irrigating their fields to supplement the required amount of moisture needed by the paddy plants.

The temperature over the farming area shows a maximum reading of 30 degrees Celsius and a minimum of 22 degrees Celsius. This falls within the required temperature range for optimum plant growth.

The operations teams and farmers are working hard to ensure a successful cropping season.
