If you’re always on social media and like making money, then the Amazon Influencer Program might be for you.

WHAT: It’s similar to how Amazon Affiliate works, associates can build links and shopping image ads, and then integrate them onto their own websites or blogs.

HOW: When people click on that link and buy a product, the affiliate gets a commission on the product, the amount of which depends on what type of product was sold.

WHO: Anyone can sign up and get started, which is the biggest differentiation between that and Amazon’s Influencer Program. But, with Amazon’s Influencer Program, people have to apply be using the social media account in which they’ll have the most influence on their followers.

WHY: The Amazon Influencer Program is an extension to the existing online Associates program for social media influencers. With the Influencer Program, you get your own page on Amazon with a URL to showcase the products you recommend to your followers. This gives you an additional way to direct traffic to Amazon, which is especially useful where hyperlinking isn’t possible (e.g. Instagram captions or video content.

MY PERSONAL WHY:
1.) Pays for 20 starbucks drinks a month. (I made $88 last month).

2.) It’s a tool to direct people to one link where a page showcases all of my products since currently Amazon doesn’t group my paperbacks together.

3.) I can also build shopper lists for the DIY crafts I create to go along with each book. I include this shopper list with each DIY craft page on my website.

I made a shopper list just for all of my books so my audience and Superfans can just go to one page and buy them all! (See pic for details.) This list is called Mary’s personally written books.

RULES: There are strict rules which you must abide by or you’ll lose this status. THis includes but is not limited to having a cleafr disclousre that you are on an Amazon affiliate and more!

Also, Direct from Amazon: “Currently you must have a YouTube, Instagram, Twitter or Facebook account to qualify. We look at the number of followers and other engagement metrics of your social media presence.”
