Opening Day

This week, we are celebrating our “Opening Day” at Grow. As most baseball fans know — myself included — opening day embodies not only the beginning of the baseball season, but also the conclusion of the pre-season’s hard work and training. Grow’s four-month pre-season concludes today with the public launch of Grow Invest, our brand new iOS app.

Like baseball’s spring training, the release of the Grow Invest app required months of preparation. Through it all, Grow co-founder and Chief Technology Officer, Anthony Randazzo, worked tirelessly to lead the engineering team in building a robust technology while running an extensive beta testing process.. During this same period, Michael DeMaria, Grow co-founder and Head of Product, and I managed the many other tasks needed to get our company prepared for a successful launch with the rest of the Grow team.

As we publicly release the Grow Invest app today, we are proud to deliver a first-in-class product to our clients. Most importantly, just as the MLB’s “Opening day” represents an opportunity for a new beginning, this week represents to us the chance to lead the creation of a new industry model that’s based on high ethical standards.

At Grow, we are committed to bringing a new generation of investors and savers into an environment they feel they can trust and, most importantly, in which they are confident.

For new businesses, however, some of the advantages of baseball do not carry over. At Grow, we only get one “Opening Day”. For this reason, we’re pushing ourselves to build a company that holds true to its higher purpose — one that fully aligns the company’s interests with the interests of our clients. Whereas baseball boasts a rich history of season openers, this is our inauguration — our paramount first opportunity to change the financial conversation in America and beyond.

Today, I congratulate Grow’s co-founders, Anthony Randazzo and Michael DeMaria as well as every member of Grow’s team for having the courage to believe, the conviction to execute, and the passion to create a such a robust and powerful sustainable investing model.
