Are engagement groups the new social clubs?

These past three months or so I have joined different groups on social media as well as engagement groups on Slack.

It has been the best experience of my (social) life, I must say.

I have grown my Facebook connections by 26% on average (over 95% based on connection requests from individuals, not my own), including small business owners, micro and macro influencers and more.

Facebook is great, but Linkedin has been giving me amazing possibilities lately with more and more people following, liking and commenting on my content (and I’m referring to individuals who have written for the Huffpost and Forbes).

Now despite content being commented on, engagement groups and theme groups serve a higher purpose: turning you into an authority in your field, which can then cement your way to stardom.

These groups should not be taken lightly and they do need you to be an active member, meaning you need to help others in need and not just stand there trying to sell your services to individuals who never asked for your pitch in the first place.

It’s a working process, sure — but it pays off.

Before
After

The amount of strategic partners and prospects have tripled within 45 days or so — amazing numbers!

If you haven’t already, try and get invited to these engagement groups on Slack or become an active member in a theme group where individuals empower one another, you’d never look back…
