Growing Grief

Spring Thaw

Poetry from the Junk Man’s widow

You have been gone too long, now.
I’m starting to feel it’s real,
that’s why I’m still here, frozen,
that’s why it’s hard to heal.

I’m facing a world without you, now.
Our lifetime fades away
into the past, into stories I tell
of a brighter, better day.
