How To Submit A Story

Step-by-step guide to submitting a story to Growl Publication

Click Write

Add a Title to your Story

Be sure to format your Subtitle

Please remember to include the topic you’re submitting to, in the Subtitle.

The topics we accepting are:

  • Poetry
  • Erotic Bedtime Stories
  • Love Letter
  • JOI for women
  • Erotica

Add an inviting image

You can submit your own image or use the built-in free image search by Unsplash. The images will be automatically credited.

You have plenty of options for great images. You can cycle through multiple pages using the NEXT button.

You’re now ready to write or paste your story

Be sure to format your story for easier reading. Medium.com has a lot of features which allow you to do so.

Use the three dots to add breaks

This is a great way to break up chapters or long bodies of text.

Some people struggle with line spacing

You can hold SHIFT and press ENTER to continue the paragraph.
This is great for Poems

You also have a couple of options for QUOTES

Just highlight the body of the text and click on the “quotation marks” to cycle through the options.

About Me

We encourage you to add an about me at the bottom of your story. You could write one out, paste in a link or add a Link box.

To add a link box just paste the link into the story and press enter. If you don’t want a link box just click away.

Add Growl Publication

To help grow the publication and, in turn, get more readers to read your work; we ask that you add a link box to the end of your stories. Ideally a link box to similar work submitted to Growl using a list. Or feel free to create a list of your own work you have submitted to Growl.

Ideally, we would love to have readers read everyone’s work on the Publication.

If you’re stuck: feel free to use one of the following links (copy and paste into your story)

Ready to Publish

There are 3 Dots at the top of the page. Click here.

Select: Add to Publication

Select the Publication you want to submit a story to

This process can work for all Publications.

If you can't see the Publication in the list, you have probably yet to be accepted as a writer for the Publication. See Section 12 of the Guideline above.

Now you can submit your story!

Topics

Topics are like # Hashtags on social media. You can tag your story with up to 5 topics.

These topics can help readers find your work on Medium.

In Growl Publication, we use them to automatically categorise the stories into the navigation menu on the home page. So if you want your story to show up it’s in your best interest to add one of our category’s topics to your story.

As a reminder, the topics we accepting are:

  • Poetry
  • Erotic Bedtime Stories
  • Love Letter
  • JOI for women
  • Erotica

Submit to Publication

Once you’ve added your topics, you can decide whether to paywall your story or not. Or to send a link to your subscribers before you Submit to the publication.

Don’t worry, you can still edit your story once you have submitted it to the publication.

Edits

If we feel you have missed something, we may reject the story and ask you to tweak it before resubmitting. Alternatively, if it’s trivial, we may ask you to tweak it after it gets published.

Thank you

Thank you for taking the time to read through this guideline. We look forward to reading your amazing work!
