Philly is beautiful, but it’s hard to find safe, affordable, well-maintained homes. Like many hardworking people, we’ve experienced landlords who seem to intentionally buy properties in low-income neighborhoods and refuse to repair or maintain their properties. These landlords often rack up countless building and safety violations with the City’s Department of Licensing and Inspection and use the courts to evade consequences and ruin renter's credit and rental history in retaliation.
