The process to create Facebook audiences like a pro

So, don’t try to please everybody! try to please the small audiences interested in what you have to offer (product, solution…)

Facebook audience insights.

This advanced tool offered by Facebook will help you refine your advertising campaign and save a lot of money.

It will also allow you to know your audience and its consumption habits better.

How does it work? :

  • Google : Facebook Business Manager
  • Set up with your account/ Open a new account
  • Open “Audience Insights”⤵️
  • You have now free access to all the Facebook Data in the World 🧞‍

Next step :

  • You Need to know what are The most Powerful Keywords in your domain to start (or your main competitors names) If you don’t know them, we have prepared a tutorial for that.
  • Simple and Powerful; Process as mentioned ⤵️

1°Put the name of your competitor / Main Keyword in Interest → Just 1 Keyword

2°Select the country you need to advertise for

3°Under the “Demographic” Tab, depending on what keyword you play with, you will get a different balance between male and female.

4°If one gender gets more than 60 %, you need to change the selection and select the right Gender.

5°Process the same way with the others categories (education level; relationship status ..)

Examples:

(82 % of Women’s and 18% of Men’s for this example. You should select “Women Only”).

6°Select “Pages Like” Tab

7°Look what the ‘Top categories’ are, and explore it.

8°Open the most relevant pages in a new tab, note them on a paper.

(Explore the most pertinentPages in each Top categories)

(“Audience” means the number of people who are likely to engage with this content. “Facebook” means the total amount of like on each page)

9° Check if the pages selected are getting more than 100K “audience” and are relevant compared to your domain.

10°Delete the first Interest you wrote before.

11° Replace it with a keyword you wrote down on your sheet of paper

10°Redo the same process, find new pages and relevant websites, bloggers …

11°Redo it again and again until you obtain at least 15 relevant keywords.

12°Use those keywords one by one with the same process: Put the Keyword in “interests.”

By the end of the process, you need to save your audience.

One more advice:

→ The objective here is to create at least ten small audiences between 25k and 800k people.

→ You will use these audiences for your Facebook Ads, Congrats 🤟

→ This is a good start for your Facebook Ads, you can optimize them later

Facebook offer amazing free tools like Audience insights; this tool can also help you to know more about your market; not only for Facebook ads.

It also lets you know who your competitors are; what kind of people should like your products and what are their interests.
