1. Could you tell me a little bit about your background in Growth/Internet Marketing?

I’ve consulted young startups on product and marketing challenges, helping them reach product-market fit and grow their business. At my current position I direct all growth hacking efforts at eToro.

2. How you got started with Growth?

Growth is the holy grail of any company. The ability to combine several domains to create sustainable, scalable growth is enticing.

My team interfaces with the entire company, trying to create value for each interface. A big focus for us is also the products that we own, of course. So high speed context switching is the name of the game for me. It makes life interesting.

Growth hacking is like finding small but strategically placed levers in the product. Pulling on those levers creates a huge effect on the numbers. This process has a big, positive ROI. Finding those levers and pulling on them correctly combines science and art.

Product, Marketing, BI and Dev.

6. What are some good interview questions when hiring a growth hacker/internet marketer?

7. Do you think internet marketer/growth hacker need to know how to code?

Yes. At least at a basic level (mainly some PHP, Python, JS, …)

8. What are the most productive ways to spend time on the internet?

Having fun. Work-life balance is something you learn and learn your whole life.

9. What advice to you have for someone who wants to build a career in growth?

Don’t be linear. Do some product, some marketing, some BI. Build some apps yourself. This will give you multiple points of view on any challenge you face.

10. What’s the best way to contact you?

LinkedIn.
