1. Could you tell me a little bit about your background in Growth/Internet Marketing?

I came from the digital agencies world. Starting in 2005 formally, and co-funding 3 digital agencies since then. My knowledge is focus in the development of digital tools and my passion is in content marketing.

2. How you got started with Growth?

Testing… just that. In 2007's nobody believed in the result of the digital marketing campaigns, specially clients. So the budgets were almost nothing for the digital department, so with those challenges you need some creativity. So we start to develop tools and environments for our potential customers. And then we start to figured out that when you create simple but use full stuffs, that may create a significant relationship with the potential customers around this brands that translate everything to an organic growth.

3. What is a routine/day in the life of Sebastián Soffia ?

Drink and eat information, test new tools, try to participate in every webinar available. And of course test and measure everything.

4. Why is growth hacking interesting?

Depends how you live it, for my is a life style and that makes you change your behavior to be focused, analytical and more flexible. It’s interesting if you want to understand how the things happens.

5. What fundamental technical skills would a Growth Hacker need to posses?

Psychology, front end, some back end, make some queries in SQL, fonts, art direction and foreign languages!

6. What are some good interview questions when hiring a growth hacker/internet marketer?

What did you preffer, make a plan or go with the flow?

7. Do you think internet marketer/growth hacker need to know how to code?

Not always, some guys know how to translate digital responses without any knowledge in code. But I think that a 30% of code is basic if you are the guy that give solutions.

8. What are the most productive ways to spend time on the internet?

In professional and niches communities.
